• Entry visa exempted for the following countries' citizens holding
ordinary passport:

if having the ordinary passports for abroad missions:

and Malaysia citizens members of ASEAN Secretarial Staff are
free of charge of visa fee if holding the Ordinary Passport for aboard missions. |
•
The
above list may be changed respectively depending on diplomatic relationships between Vietnam
and each country.
1.
Foreigners entering or exitting into/from Vietnam must hold a valid Passport or
relevant personal documents that are issued by relevant authorised Vietnamese Government agencies, unless
holding a diplomatic passport.
2.Foreigners
apply for entry visa at Immigration Management Agency on behalf of Ministry
of Police, or General Consulate Office on behalf of Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, Foreign Affairs Office.
3. Persons
under 14 years of age and informed coming along notification with
adults will be exempted for entry visa.
4. Foreigners
want to enter Vietnam and can apply for entry visa at Vietnamese international frontier
passes in following cases:
a)
Attending a relative's funeral ,or visiting an illness relative.
b) Deriving
from countries that Foreign Affairs Representative Agencies
of Vietnam or General Consulate Office of Vietnam do not exist officialy in that countries.
c) Travelling
to Vietnam guided by a Vietnamese International Tourism companies.
d) Technical supporting
in cases of emergency needs ,giving first aid
to serious illness persons, giving first aid to the casualties,
natural calamity helping, epidemic diseases in Vietnam.
5. Visa in Vietnam
permits entrance or exiting into/from through Vietnamese International frontier passes
.
6. Types ofentry visa :
a)
Single entry visa with 12 months validity.
b) Multiple entry visa
with 12 months validity.
7 . Single entry visa with un-extendable validity.

(Issued in accordance with Regulations of 64/2000/TT-BTC dated on
03 July 07,2000 by Ministry of Finance).
General Regulations on duty free goods applying for foreign visitors
at Vietnamese frontier passes :
- Luggages
(including hand bags, deposit luggages in advance or after the
departure ) of the entrance or exit customers and persons who
are working in the entrance or exit frontierlines of Vietnamese boundaries.
- Applying
for entrance or exit customers who have passports issued by Vietnam
Authorized State or Foreign Governments. Children under 15 ages
having their owned passports or accompanied with the travel adults will
also enjoin free duty of necessary products promulgated at the 4th categorize
of free duty list (see table below). If accompanied with adults that
using the same passport will not be having the free duty criteria
$300 USD.
Vietnamese
overseas (excluding free duty products listed at 1,2,3,4 categorize
promulgated by Government Decree No17/CP) will be free charge of $300
USD each time per month. At the 5th categorize, from the second time
go on have to pay the tax per month.
Foreign currencies permitted to bring in unlimited amount, but they must to declare
if bring over $3,000 USD into Vietnam .
Jewelries made from gold or precious metal /gems using directly
are free informed also. Unless the precious stone over 3 carats have
to declare at frontier pass Customs.
All kinds harmful traditional culture items according to Vietnamese culture values must not be taken into Vietnam.
