"As you appreciate, the practice of translation is very much an art rather than a science. Consequently, the same text may be translated differently as a result of stylistic preferences and varying approaches of different translators and other subjective factors. In addition, it is impossible to have a "perfect" word for word English translation of a Vietnamese legal document because English and Vietnamese have very different grammatical structures and because each language possesses its own unique legal and cultural tradition. For this reason, terms that appear familiar in English may sometimes be given unexpected interpretations in Vietnamese contexts. Moreover, as Vietnam's legal system continues to evolve, Vietnamese legal terminology may not necessarily possess the same precision as English legal terms. Subject to the foregoing, we are of the view that there is substantial conformity between the Vietnamese and English versions of the document published herein and that no material differences exist between the two versions.
